What is Hallow River Bazaar all about?

I'm sure everybody is dying of curiosity to know what Hallow River Bazaar is all about.  I'll start with the name.  It came to me as a combination of three things: Hallow, short for Halloween, my favorite day of the year; River; because of fond memories spent over one summer while staying in a town in Maine called Sandy River; and Bazaar, because it's a Middle Eastern term for marketplace.  Some people ask why the store is a curiosity shoppe when I'm not selling things like mummified lizard heads.  The simple answer is because it's more than a gift shop, not entirely a vintage or junk shop, and I sell a variety of items.  I also like the witchy 19th-century imagery it conjures when I hear the term Curiosity Shoppe, and who knows, maybe some day I'll be selling things like mummified lizard heads.  The store came about as a way to channel creativity and a love for making and designing things.  I decided to open my own business because I want Hallow River Bazaar to be a quirky marketplace that breeds a sense of community for other like-minded, creative folks.  It's a place where fellow artists can come to sell their things, while in turn, they get promotion through the website.  So please subscribe to the blog, where you can stay up to date on things we recommend like up-and-coming musical events, other businesses we support and any future pop-up shops!
