Storyville 10 Oz Candle
During the turn of the century, "The District" was a neighborhood in New Orleans nearby the train station that became infamously referred to as "Storyville'" for its experiment in regulated prostitution. Musicians were hired by madams to play the local brothels and this soon gave way to a flooding of early jazz sounds that combined elements of French, Spanish and Anglo-American sonance. Though African Americans were the first to inhabit the neighborhood and create the frame work for what would become the foundation of jazz. This candle is inspired by what we imagine a boudoir in Storyville's might smell like. Scent profile: Pure Rose* Vanilla. The candle vessel is a metallic-pink color. Made with a creamy coconut blended wax. Phthalate free and prop 65 compliant. 10 oz, comes with a dust cover. *Please be sure to remove the dust cover before lighting!
